Role of HR in Employee Engagement

An engaged workforce directly impacts every company’s bottom line, and it’s up to HR professionals to ensure employees are as fulfilled and engaged as possible. HR is deeply connected to every aspect of employee engagement.

HR is the one who stays with employee from onboarding to off-boarding. HR plays a role of Mother in the organization. It is their responsibility to keep employees happy and satisfied. Happy employee’s stays committed towards the organization. Increasing employee engagement is the best strategy HR can use to increase retention. Retention is important. It is not easy process to give trainings to employees, to make them comfortable in company culture. Sometimes organization spends lot of money on trainings but it doesn’t comes in return due increasing attrition.

HR can make their own ‘Employer Brand’ and attract talented candidates. Google, Microsoft are the best example of Employer Brand. The facility they give to their employees are world class.

Reve Pharma is building its own employer brand by providing different employee engagement activities. We treat our employees like a family and not a revenue generating machines.

This time, we came with a new idea of ‘Snap Activity’.

What is snap activity?

  • Each team will include 4-6 members.
  • Each team will put 4 cheats of different themes.
  • Each team will perform the theme and will click a picture.
  • All teams will submit their pictures within one hour.
  • Each picture should represent – Theme/What is happening in picture.

We spend almost 9 -10 hours of our day on our workplace. Unknowingly, we get attached to people on workplace. We experience different moments. We collect many memories here but never captures its pictures. This time we will collect memories by clicking different pictures.

Themes were as follows –

Team collaboration, Training and development, Technology, Care for colleagues, Employee engagement, Discipline, Productivity hacks, Office views, Meeting moments, Office setup, Workload, Hygiene, Laughing moments, Leadership, Appreciation, Competition, Boredom, Failure, Achievement, Tea Break chitchat, Tiffin sharing, etc.

Five days before we made an announcement of ‘Snap Competition’.

When we circulated notice, no one has understood the activity. Then again we went to them, made 15 teams, and explained the activity in deep. Everyone was very excited about this interesting activity. It was the best chance to showcase their talent.

On, 18th Jan 24, at 2:30 pm, we HRs went to each team, told them to put 4 cheats and distributed themes. Then everyone has started planning where and how they can show the particular theme. It was a great experience to see people sharing different ideas, mostly introverts!

Within one hour, we got pictures from 15 groups On 22nd Jan24, our Founder Mrs. Anjali Katariya has evaluated best performances and distributed prizes among them.

In Reve Pharma each employee, worker shares a different bond with each other. We may divided into different groups, departments and teams but when we come together, we make the world jealous.
