Navaratri in Reve Pharma

In Indian history, woman was not allowed to get education and work. Roles were divided for men and women. There was a rule that only men can earn money and women have to handle ‘Chul ani Mul’ (in Marathi) which means ‘Kitchen and Kids’. Women were totally dependent on father or husband.

In 20th century, number of working women is increasing. But India is still behind comparing to other countries.

We, REVE PHARMA are contributing to increase the number of working women in India. In our company, 73% labor force is female. We give work opportunities to females in rural areas to make them financially independent, to develop them, to help them so they can run their family and improve their standard of living.

Navaratri is the underlying essence and spirit is the celebration, respect and reverence to feminine power which is the cause and action of the universe. Thus Navtatri is dedicated to the importance of feminine power without which we cannot think of the universe. Therefore by celebrating the Navratri’s, we actually celebrate feminine power as its significance is very great in the world and for all humanity.

As the name implies, Navratri consists of nine days and nights which are dedicated to the nine forms of the Shakti. So, this Navratri we had organized the program named as ‘Navatrankika’. In which, we decided to appreciate 9 females who’s life journeys are encouraging and an huge example of ‘Shakti’. The Navatrankika meeting with Mrs. Anjali Katariya was held on 3rd Oct 2023. 8 members has participated from different departments in Navratri Committee. Where, we discussed how we can organize the program. We have decided that each participant will make at least 3 stories from given department. Among that, 9 stories will be shortlisted by Anjali ma’am.

Navaratri Committee members started working on stories. It was a great experience. We went in production department and explained about the program to ladies. Some ladies came forward to share their experience. They told how Reve Pharma helped them out to become financially stable. Each lady had a different story to tell. But one thing was common in all that each lady was going from financial crises which let them come in Reve Pharma. They shared how Reve Pharma treated them like a family and not a worker.

One of them, Bharati Kadam said, “My husband left me when I was pregnant. I came to my mother’s home for living. I had 2 years old son. There was no-one who can help us. Then I realized that I have to stand for myself. I started finding work but no one was ready to give me work because I was pregnant. But that time, Reve Pharma helped me, gave me work. ‘Bhausa and Bai’ (Father and mother of Director Mr. Milind Katariya) took care of me like a family. After 2 years, when I again joined Reve Pharma, one accident has happened. My 2 years old son has become blind from one eye while playing. I needed a huge amount for his operation. That time, Reve family (workers and employees) helped me. They had collected a donation and gave me. Sometimes I have to take leaves, so I can take my child to the hospital. But Reve Pharma never fired me. Mr. Amol Bhujbal (production supervisor) never scold on me. He has always supported me. I am thankful to Reve Family for having my back.”

This way all the ladies shared their experiences. We made a draft of that stories, showed to Mrs. Swapnali Gaware. She guided us how to right it. After making a draft, 9 stories got finalized from Anjali mam. Then we made a audio of that stories. New joiners have showed interest in recording. They were surprised, that company do this kind of activities also, rather than just a work. Each day of Navaratri, we shared a one story with everyone. On last day of navaratri, we told each lady to wear the related color of their day of navaratri. Anjali mam gave them a beautiful certificate and appreciated them. They all were happy.

This way, we celebrated Navaratri and Women Power.
